We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our cleaning
staff and ensure our apartments are clean, presentable, and welcoming to our
guests.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms (including balconies), guest corridors, reception, linen rooms, and housekeeping store rooms.
* Assist in the selection, training and mentoring of housekeeping staff, coordinating a team of approx. 6-8 staff members (during peak times) and arranging staff breaks within required times.
* Assisting the team in cleaning our luxury apartments to the highest standard and managing that these are completed in required time frames.
* Checking of clean arrival rooms.
* Understand and ensure the safe usage and storage of cleaning/ chemical agents in line with health & safety regulations.
* Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
* Collaborate with reception and management to report any maintenance issues.
To be successful for this role:
* Can demonstrate at least 1-2 years previous hotel housekeeping experience or have had own cleaning business.
* Can multi-task, and work well in fast paced, high pressure situations
* Physically fit as our property is all stairs and some lifting is required eg. Linen, beds, equipment.
* Exhibit strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Lead by example, and be service-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
* Must be flexible across a 7 day roster.
* Hold valid working rights in Australia with no restrictions – this position is strictly for Australian permanent residents.
