Our ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the financial operations of our Australian and overseas entities. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with both Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day financial operations across both the Australian and US entities, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Manage the general ledger, including reconciliations of key accounts, bank statements, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
* Lead month-end and year-end close processes across jurisdictions.
* Prepare monthly management accounts as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with AASB and US GAAP as required.
* Ensure compliance with relevant tax and reporting obligations, including BAS, GST, FBT, and US equivalent filings.
* Support the budgeting process by providing financial analysis, forecasting future financial trends, and identifying variances.
This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls, as well as proficiency in accounting software. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to managing multi-jurisdictional accounting operations.

* Solid knowledge of accounting principles and sound knowledge of internal controls
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar); ERP experience is an advantage.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience & Skills
* 5+ years commercial experience, preferably in the ecommerce industry, multinationally
* Bachelor of Finance/Commerce/Business (or equivalent)
* CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
* Strong knowledge of AASB, US GAAP, and relevant regulatory environments.
