The Opportunity
CSR are looking for a dynamic and commercially savvy Business Development Manager to grow our Commercial portfolio across South Australia. If you thrive on building strong relationships, creating customer value, and securing new business, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make an impact.
As our BDM – Commercial, you'll lead business development initiatives to deliver revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen our presence across SA. You'll partner closely with customers, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive value and long‑term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Drive business development strategy and action plans to achieve revenue and margin targets.
Generate new leads and expand existing accounts using strong consultative selling skills.
Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
Deliver sales call cycles and maintain accurate CRM activity aligned to sales objectives.
Build internal partnerships to strengthen product positioning and customer value.
Prepare proposals, negotiate effectively, and close profitable deals.
Own conversion and upsell opportunities, ensuring repeat business and strong customer experience.
Provide customer and market insights to sales and marketing teams.
Manage project tracking, pricing, and product knowledge to deliver customer value.
About You
Strong experience in sales or business development with proven results.
Expertise in consultative, solutions‑based selling and building trusted relationships.
Commercial acumen with the ability to assess opportunities and drive profitable growth.
Strong market insight with a deep understanding of competitors, customer needs, and industry dynamics.
Ability to interpret technical product details and confidently support customers and contractors.
Skilled in data analytics to inform decisions and optimise customer value.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Highly collaborative approach with strong cross‑functional teamwork.
Proficient in CRM systems and Excel, with strong digital capability.
Resilience, drive, and a results‑focused mindset.
