Procurement Manager Role
The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in our mission by overseeing a dynamic and efficient supply chain. This involves sourcing, planning, and fulfilling production requirements, as well as ensuring supplier quality, logistics, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze supplier spend, capacity, and develop overall supplier negotiation and engagement strategies.
* Implement sustainable cost controls and develop cost reduction improvement plans with suppliers.
* Manage work center material health, working closely with production counterparts and engineering to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Solve problems to recover from late breaking changes or shortages and ensure that production reality is supported by a credible inventory demand-supply plan.
* Lead complex outsourcing and cross-functional projects, including negotiating high-value contracts with suppliers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or contract negotiation, or bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in a related field.
* Proven track record of leadership and team building skills, technical procurement and manufacturing experience, as well as strong vendor management skills.
* Experience reading datasheets, drawings, and blueprints, interpreting conditions and terms of contracts, and advising management on significant procedures and regulations.
* Ability to learn quickly, prioritize appropriately, and meet customer and company needs while conducting all activities with the highest levels of integrity.
