**Responsibilities**:
**About the Role**
The
**Infrastructure Manager** role sits within our
**Brisbane** head office, reporting directly to the
**Head of Infrastructure and IT Operations**. The role will require you to take responsibility for the leadership and management of all IT Infrastructure within Australia and NZ. This includes research, planning, developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas of the company's network, server infrastructure, information security and telecommunications. The Infrastructure Manager will lead a highly technical team in the support of current technologies and the implementation of all improvements and expansions.
**Core responsibilities**:
- Manage an enterprise grade infrastructure platform spanning multiple data centers and regions, with a focus on security, availability and performance
- Design and implement short
- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
- Coach, mentor and lead a highly skilled technical team, to provide outstanding achievements and value for the business
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for the infrastructure team and platform
- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts
- Management of risks and associated controls across the infrastructure platform
- Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts
- Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services
- Establish performance monitoring and metrics-driven processes to ensure quality of delivery and uptime of IT infrastructure
- Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders
- Manage operational costs with a continued focus on expenditure review and reduction through innovation, automation and process improvement
- Responsible for the creation and ongoing short
- and long-term forecasts of both operational and capital budgets; working closely with commercial and financial team members to ensure accuracy and transparency of all infrastructure costs
- Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation
Qualifications:

We're looking for a skilled IT professional who possesses:
- Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
- Ability to conduct research into issues and products and provide innovative alternative working solutions
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situation
- Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong financial acumen
**Formal education & certification**:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field
- 10+ years experience in the IT infrastructure field
- 5+ years IT leadership experience
- ITIL Certification is preferred
