We are seeking an experienced enthusiastic Sterilising (CSSD) Technician in permanent full-time capacity reporting to the CSSD Manager. At Epworth we perform a wide range of complex surgeries across all specialities. The recent introduction of the T-Doc instrument tracking system will assist you in your everyday practise to identify robotic, navigational and complex custom-made instrumentation.
**To be successful in this role**:
- You are flexible to work across various shifts, are highly motivated with good problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt and embrace constant changes within a working workplace.
**You will have**:
- Completed a Certificate III and IV in Sterilising Services or other relevant qualification
- Minimum 3 to 4 years clinical experience as an Instrument Technician
- Sound understanding and knowledge of infection control requirements and Australian Sterilising Standard (AS/NZS4187)
- Excellent team work skills with ability to work collaboratively within a busy team with changing priorities and work demands
- Outstanding customer services skills with ability to build close working relationships within the CSSD team, the operating theatres and other key areas
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Working knowledge of relevant regulation and standards impacting on sterilizing services
- High level of understanding of OHS, with good manual handling techniques and basic level chemical safety within the sterilising services
- Ability to use computer systems
