About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic Macarthur Adult Psychology Team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting adults experiencing complex mental health challenges through evidence-based psychological care.
You’ll be working within a supportive and collaborative team of experienced Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists, who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the service. You’ll provide specialist psychological and psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and consultations tailored to individual consumer needs.
What You'll Be Doing
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to improve consumer outcomes.
- Collaborate with inpatient and community mental health professionals to support integrated care.
- Contribute to discharge planning, complex care reviews, and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Participate in staff training, clinical supervision, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the development and delivery of education and training programs.
- Evaluate clinical outcomes to inform service development and best practice.

Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney.
These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.

Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.
- Describe your experience in delivering evidence-based clinical interventions, including assessments, treatment planning, and referrals, within a multidisciplinary mental health setting. How have you collaborated with consumers, families, and other professionals to support recovery-oriented care?
- Provide an example of a quality improvement initiative or clinical research activity you have led or contributed to. How did you evaluate its impact, and what partnerships or collaborations supported its success.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
