We're seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacy Technician to lead the Distribution and Medicines Supply Pharmacy Technician team in a supportive environment. You will lead the team and provide oversight, support and performance enhancement for employees allocated to your area.
**A Day in the Life**
As the Grade 4 Pharmacy Technician Team Leader you will lead and support a pharmacy technician team to provide best-practice pharmacy services to patients. You'll provide supervision, training and mentoring to other pharmacy technicians. In this important role you will:
- Deliver a safe, high quality, efficient and cost-effective pharmacy service.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy team members and other staff in the delivery of pharmacy services.
- Undertake administrative and procedural tasks associated with the day-to-day planning and co-ordination of the Pharmacy Technician Service, including the supervision of staff.
- Oversee daily activity of fluid delivery contractors
- Assist the Pharmacy Leadership Team and team leaders with oversight of supply chain management key performance indicators and end-of-month activities.
- Develop and implement training, education and orientation programs for team members or other relevant staff.
- Participate in quality assurance programs/improvement activities and medication safety activities.
**About You**
You have significant hospital pharmacy experience and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability across all general pharmacy technician tasks (dispensing, inpatient supply, imprest, Schedule 8/4D supply). You have skills and experience in supervision, training or mentoring. You are organised, lead by example and role-model expectations to others. Your positive approach is infectious and people enjoy working with you. You must hold a Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support, or equivalent.
