About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Human Resources Advisor within our boat manufacturing business based in the marine precinct of Coomera. A true generalist role, supporting a predominately blue‐collar workforce, this is a hands‐on position providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to become a key part of our business. The HR Advisor will work closely with Factory Managers and Supervisors on a day‐to‐day basis providing practical advice across employee relations, performance management, grievances and compliance.
Ideal work times would be 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, however we are flexible to discuss further.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have experience in a Manufacturing, construction or similar blue‐collar environment (preferred)
* Incredibly strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive projects and collaborate with large teams.
* Provide guidance and support to our staff on all HR related matters across the employee lifecycle
* Champion our processes and provide support to leaders relating to performance management frameworks and procedures
* Take ownership of analysing monthly HR metrics, tracking data to identify areas of improvement.
* Drive identified HR initiatives through the business
* You will thrive in a fast‐paced work environment, with the ability to juggle multiple competing tasks
Desired Skills and Experience
What we are looking for:
* Tertiary qualifications in HR or related field will be highly desirable but not essential
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, negotiate and build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
* Team player with a commitment to working collaboratively
* Great problem‐solving skills, you will thrive on thinking outside the box.
* A background in manufacturing, construction, blue‐collar businesses would be highly regarded
* Payroll and HR systems exposure would also be highly regarded.
