Responsibilities
We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in local government or other public sector environments to play a key role in delivering major capital works for the community. In this role, you'll lead the delivery of projects while ensuring they meet quality expectations and comply with Council's Project Management Framework and governance requirements. You'll oversee portfolio resources to keep projects aligned with strategic priorities, manage risks, change and opportunities, and provide high‐level expertise in contract management, procurement and administration. Working closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants and the community, you'll build strong relationships, support engagement activities, and promote a consistent PMO approach across the organisation. You'll also mentor and guide Project Managers and Project Officers, driving best practice and continuous improvement, while providing accurate reporting and maintaining a strong focus on performance and outcomes.
