SJM Property Developments provide a diverse range of residential & commercial property developments in the Kingborough, Greater Hobart regions & Launceston regions. We are currently seeking to recruit a capable individual who can oversee and supervise our residential, high volume and multi residential projects in our Devonport/Launceston Area (Candidate must be based in that area). The right individual needs to share our passion for delivering, high quality, on time and on budget property developments.
Qualifications & experience
* At least four years' experience as a Project Manager or similar role
* A Building Trade Certificate or tertiary education in Construction Management is preferred but not required
* Considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, materials and work standards related to Construction. A high level of attention to detail with excellent time management and organisation skills and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment
* The ability to identify defects or problems proactively and take the necessary actions to rectify or prevent problems efficiently
Task & responsibilities
* Lead projects from beginning to handover
* Manage onsite teams, including subcontractors
* Allocation of materials and trades to job sites to ensure timely construction of homes
* Ensuring that homes are built in accordance with contractual arrangements and approved drawings on time and within budget
* Inspecting completed work to ensure high standard of quality workmanship
* Ensuring construction is carried out safely and in accordance with company policy, QMS (quality management systems) and WHS legislation and that the required documentation and paperwork is completed during the building process
* Establish and manage construction schedules
