Associate Director (Strategic / Statutory Planning) – Brisbane 
We're on the lookout for a energetic Associate Director to join our Brisbane office. Leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills, you'll support our clients by offering sound statutory and strategic urban planning advice and insights. As an Associate Director, you will help to lead the team and contribute to the delivery of high-impact land use planning and policy projects, primarily for public sector clients. 
You Will 
- Provide advanced statutory and strategic urban planning principles and methods and the ability to apply them, including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans and the approval process and management. 
- Lead or contribute to the preparation of strategic land use planning projects, including growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies and supporting technical inputs. 
- Provide with others, technical and management support to the Planning team (and staff members) on a day-to-day basis, ensuring committed projects are, and remain, commercially viable. 
- Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities and stakeholder needs. 
- Prepare and review reports, presentations and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively. 
- Support the preparation of proposals and tender submissions, including scoping, methodology development and fee estimates. 
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality. 
About You 
- Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline. 
- Ideally minimum 8 years' experience within an Urban Planning firm based environment. 
- Strong knowledge of strategic planning, and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment. 
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of statutory planning frameworks, controls and processes. 
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of strategic policies, processes and influences. 
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
