At ECU we're inspired by the incredible achievements of Edith Cowan, the first woman elected to an Australian parliament and a lifelong champion of education. Empowered by her legacy, we're united in our vision to lead the sector in educational experience and expand our impact through world-class research.

Creative Futures is ECU's integrated, cross-disciplinary platform designed to accelerate goals in graduate employability, cultural leadership, research impact and revenue diversification. It brings together art, culture, digital innovation, creative partnerships, and entrepreneurship to drive transformational outcomes.

About The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the Creative Experiences and Activations Lead, by delivering engaging digital content, managing social media channels and website updates. You will help bring the Creative Futures Directorates programs, events and stories to life through high-quality visual content, short-form video, photography and design assets that strengthen our brand and connect with our audiences.

About You

You Will Bring

A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, digital media or related field or and equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
Demonstrated experience supporting and executing social media activity across multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and YouTube.
Strong design capability to produce digital assets including social media tiles, campaign and event graphics, website visuals, EDMs and promotional materials.
Proven ability to create, schedule and publish engaging digital content, including short-form video and graphic-based assets.
Experience capturing and editing photo and video content in live environments such as events, workshops, and activations.
Strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
An understanding of accessibility, inclusivity and cultural sensitivity in content development.
Experience coordinating website content, updates and maintenance.
Strong organisation skills, with experience maintaining libraries of digital assets, templates and files.
A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to support events and on-the-ground content requirements as needed.

You embody personal attributes that align with ECU's core values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage. Your commitment to these values is evident in your approach to work and your interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
