Job Description
Position: Site/Civil Engineer
Location: Bella Vista, NSW ****
Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 (depending upon experience)
Responsibilities
Plan, organise, and schedule civil projects and works ensuring project remains within budget and timeframes.
Design, review and oversee civil engineering projects, including drainage systems, foundations, etc.
Prepare, analyse and interpret engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for construction projects to estimate total cost.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Consultants and other professionals to enhance practices and processes.
Plan, schedule and manage budgets and timelines on civil projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
Regularly inspect the work being carried out, ensuring it aligns with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Determine project costs by calculating labour, material, and related costs.
Resolve on-site technical challenges while maintaining safety and quality, and negotiate variations in design.
Ensure adherence to environmental guidelines and local regulations.
Document and manage changes to project scope or design, communicating updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or higher.
Minimum 2-3 years of Civil Engineering field experience in construction sites in Australia.
Strong understanding of Australian civil engineering standards and regulations.
Experience in site preparation, drainage, foundation design, and infrastructure projects.
Proven ability in quality management, while adhering to environmental guidelines and local regulations.
Strong skills in construction drawings.
Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities to handle on-site challenges.
