Senior Windows VDI Engineer – TSPV | Secure Mobility Program Join a high-impact, national security program delivering secure Windows VDI and mobility solutions for senior government stakeholders.
You'll use your deep Microsoft, virtualisation and automation skills to design, build and support complex virtual desktop environments in a highly secure setting, working alongside a specialist technical team on long-term, career-defining work.
Location: QLD, ACT, VIC SA – onsite within secure facilities Contract Details: Contract Duration: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions (up to 3 years total) Security Clearance Requirement: Must have current TSPV (Positive Vetting) clearance Australian citizenship (no sponsorship/upgrade) Closing Date: Friday 23 January ****, 10:00am (Canberra time) Essential Tasks Administer and support secure Windows end-user computing, including security software, Active Directory and Group Policy in a locked-down environment.
Design, test, deploy and automate Windows operating system builds and virtual desktop images for highly secure solutions.
Develop and operate backup, recovery and optimisation strategies for virtualised Windows server and desktop platforms.
Monitor, support and tune the virtual Windows desktop/VDI environment (e.g. Citrix CVAD/NetScaler) to maintain performance and availability.
Key Criteria Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Server and Desktop technologies (e.g. Exchange, WSUS, MECM/SCCM, Active Directory) in complex environments.
Strong PowerShell scripting capability for automation, configuration and advanced troubleshooting of Windows platforms.
Proven experience building, deploying and managing virtual desktop SOEs and diagnosing complex Windows issues in virtualised environments.
Experience administering and optimising secure VDI platforms, including performance monitoring, tuning and integration of backup/recovery services.
