The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Service supports the frontline policing and corporate operations of SAPOL through the provision of ICT infrastructure and communication platforms, operational software applications, and support services. The Service is responsible for driving the ongoing evolution of ICT capability across SAPOL, through the delivery of high-quality ICT change programs. The Service is structured across four core pillars: Strategy, Innovation and Engagement; Program Delivery; Operational Services; and Security and Assurance. The Service extends from traditional ICT services to encompass a specialist radio and technology capability, including laser and radar calibration services.

Program Delivery is accountable for the successful delivery of business outcomes from a large portfolio of projects. It contains both project delivery accountability as well as portfolio governance responsibilities to manage quality, risk, and budget to optimise outcomes from the portfolio as a whole. SAPOL is undertaking a large complex portfolio of work across a range of areas including core infrastructure, business systems and digital transformation initiatives. This full portfolio has been broken into three sub-portfolios to deliver on the business outcome, of which Mobility is one.

Your role

The Training Lead is accountable to the Mobility Portfolio Manager for effective design, development and delivery of Mobility training packages across the organisation. This role will develop and implement a strategic roadmap for Mobility training including face to face, online and virtual/remote training. This position provides expertise to investigate and harness best practice methodologies and learning strategies for training development and delivery throughout the organisation. This role is key to making the deployment a success – working to ensure that every SAPOL member is trained to use the Mobility phones to perform their roles effectively.

What you need to succeed

* Experience in online, virtual/remote and face to face learning development, delivery and evaluation.
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable in response to operational and organisational change.
* Strong leadership skills and the capacity to contribute to building a team focused on high quality customer service.
* Proven interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Proven ability to plan, develop and implement structured training programs, and develop and implement high level future-focussed - training strategies for a program or project.
* A proven ability to make decisions under pressure, establish priorities and manage competing deadlines for self and others, demonstrate innovative thought and exercise initiative.

Special Conditions

* The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
* The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
* Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
* The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.

Salary

ASO7 - $108,109 - $116,864 per annum.
