Lead member and sector engagement and strengthen strategic partnerships that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations and youth justice funded organisations across Queensland.
The organisation
The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection and the Queensland Youth Justice Peak. QATSICPP represents Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations delivering child protection and family wellbeing services, as well as youth justice funded organisations working across the youth justice system in Queensland.
QATSICPP works alongside its member organisations, government and sector partners to strengthen community-led systems that support the safety, wellbeing and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families across the state.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Member Services & Strategic Partnerships will lead QATSICPP's member and sector engagement and partnership strategy across Queensland.
This role strengthens relationships with community-controlled, and youth justice funded organisations, ensuring member and sector voices shape sector reform, policy and advocacy.
The Director will:
* Lead QATSICPP's Member Services function, strengthening engagement with member organisations across Queensland
* Build and steward strategic partnerships with government, community-controlled organisations, youth justice funded organisations, and key sector stakeholders
* Ensure member insights inform advocacy, policy and organisational strategy
* Represent QATSICPP in sector forums and support collaborative initiatives that strengthen the sector
About you
You will bring strong leadership capability and experience working within community, government or peak body environments.
* Senior experience in member engagement, partnerships or sector development
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations
* Proven ability to build trusted relationships across government and sector stakeholders
* Tertiary qualification in management, human services, public administration, community development or a related field, or equivalent senior leadership experience
* Strategic thinker with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
