What you'll be doing
* Category Strategy & Management: Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies that drive growth for both own brands and partner brands. Take ownership of end-to-end category management, from insights and analysis to execution and performance evaluation.
* Category & Shopper Development: Lead the creation and refinement of category growth drivers, identifying levers to unlock incremental growth for the business and our foodservice and retail partners. Develop category visions and strategies that support long-term growth, ensuring alignment with shopper and customer needs.
* Commercial Ownership: Own category P&L for both own brands and partner brands, ensuring revenue, profitability, and market share targets are met. Optimise pricing and promotional strategies across all channels, leveraging insights to maximise profitability.
* Customer-Centric Approach: Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure productofferings are well-merchandised and enhance the customer journey. Leverageconsumer and shopper insights to position Manassen Foods as the partner ofchoice for retail customers.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team,fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Support team development by providing clear career pathways andopportunities for growth.
What you'll bring
* Extensive experience in Category Management, Channel Strategy, or a related role in FMCG, retail, foodservice or consumer goods industries.
* Experience in managing both own brand portfolios and partner brand relationships.
* Demonstrated success in developing and embedding category growth drivers into business strategies.
* Proven P&L ownership with a track record of driving commercial success.
* Strong analytical skills, with expertise in category tools like Nielsen, IRI, or Aztec.
* Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
