About the Role

We're excited to offer several fantastic opportunities for Mental Health Clinicians to join our CORE Adolescent Team on a full-time or part time ongoing and temporary basis, within our Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) program at the Monash Health - Berwick Community Health Centre. We have 1.5 EFT permanent and 1.8 EFT temporary positions available. Please highlight what EFT you are interested in when applying.

These positions are open to professionals from the following disciplines: Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology, and Registered Psychiatric Nursing (RPN).

The CORE Adolescent Team delivers specialist mental health assessment and treatment to young people aged 12–17 years who experience severe and complex mental health challenges that cannot be managed by tier 1–4 services alone. At times, you may also provide support to the under 12s stream, ensuring continuity of care across the service.

While this role is predominantly clinic-based, you may also contribute to occasional outreach work, engaging with young people and families who are more difficult to reach. A key part of the role also involves shared-care collaboration with professionals from a wide range of agencies across the catchment, ensuring wraparound, holistic support for young people and their families.

About Us

Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age group in the Southern Region, providing a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services.

We work with families to address a number of complex issues they may be experiencing, including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neuro developmental presentations and psychosis.

We also work collaboratively with families, schools and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework.

About You

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

* Demonstrated skills and experience in case management and assessment
* Your forward thinking approach to care – your ideas matter to us
* Enthusiasm for working in a multifaceted role
* Your proactive and team player attitude
* Your strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Adaptable to a changing environment

Mandatory requirements of the role:

* Experience in a mental health service and/or extensive experience in a relevant area of practice
* Sound knowledge of the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce 2013
* Please refer to the Supportive Documents listed below for qualification & licence requirements

In Return

As a valued member of the Monash Health team, you'll have access to a wide range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, development, and career progression, including:

* Salary packaging – increase your take-home pay with generous salary packaging options.
* Professional development – access to ongoing training, education, and leadership opportunities to support your career growth.
* Supportive team environment – work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that values innovation, compassion, and excellence.

* Career mobility – opportunities to work across Victoria's largest public health service with a wide range of roles and career pathways.
* Diverse and inclusive workplace – join an organisation that celebrates and embraces diversity and fosters a culture of respect and belonging.

At Monash Health, you'll be making a difference in the lives of individuals and communities while advancing your career in a leading healthcare organisation.
