About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Area Manager provides leadership, coaching, and operational oversight to Centre Directors and their teams.
Leading and mentoring Centre Directors to achieve strong educational, operational, and compliance outcomes.
Overseeing financial performance, occupancy, staffing, and regulatory compliance across three services.
Supporting centres to maintain high-quality ratings under the National Quality Framework.
Ensuring Child Safe Standards are fully embedded in daily practice.
Driving continuous quality improvement with support from our Company Pedagogy & Practice Leader.
Building positive relationships with families, staff, community partners, and regulatory bodies.
Providing hands-on support during audits, assessments, incidents, or investigations.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced leadership role for someone passionate about quality, people, and culture.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Experience as an Area Manager or strong multi-site leadership capability.
Extensive experience in mentoring and managing a large team.
High track record of meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.
Experience liaising with external professional bodies and regulatory authorities.
Familiarity with Qikkids software.
Deep understanding of VEYLDF, EYLF 2.0, NQF, and the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire teams.
Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-recognised).
Current WWCC/VIT (as applicable), First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection certifications.
Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations.
Strong knowledge of the Education and Care National Law & Regulations.
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Standard (NQS).
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between services.
MUST have two senior references (including your direct report). References will not be contacted until an offer is made.
Must have full working rights in Australia.
