About the role
As a Librarian at TAFE NSW, you'll be the go‑to expert who connects students with the information, tools, and confidence they need to thrive. You'll deliver dynamic, customer‑focused support, both in person and online, helping learners build strong information literacy skills and navigate a wide range of digital and physical resources with ease.
You'll collaborate with teaching teams, champion our collections and digital guides, and promote innovative library services that inspire engagement across campus. If you're energised by helping others learn, love staying ahead of emerging technologies, and enjoy shaping a modern, impactful library experience, this is a role where you'll make a real difference every day.
While the primary location for this role is the Padstow campus, there may be occasional requirements to provide relief at other libraries within the Western Sydney Central Library Network.
About You
We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality library and information services.
You'll be a great fit for this role if you:
* Hold a graduate or post graduate library qualification: You are eligible for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Check for your qualification on the ALIA Website or contact ALIA to confirm
* Bring strong expertise: You have a solid understanding of library and information service principles, concepts, and theory.
* Are tech-savvy and future-focused: You're confident with library systems, including, but not limited to circulation, inventory, reporting and analytics and emerging technologies, including digital literacy and AI. You're also capable of supporting others in developing these skills.
* Thrive in dynamic environments: You're adaptable and willing to travel on occasions to support service continuity with the network.
