The role is responsible for leading the visitor services team to achieving Council's visitor servicing goals and priorities by effectively supporting and assisting the Manager Tourism and Events to achieve the Visitor Services Strategy and the requirements of the Council Plan.
In particular, the role is to:Developing, managing, supervising and reviewing operating processes, procedures and plans for visitor services.For more information about the role view the Position Description HERE (if Hyperlink is not working, click "Apply" to view it)Desired Skills and ExperienceTo Apply for this role, please include a cover letter addressing the following Key Selection Criteria:A degree or diploma in tourism or other relevant degree and some relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience.Good understanding of the tourism sector and tourism knowledge and/or experience relevant to Moira Shire and the wider Murray region, or the ability to gain this knowledge.Good understanding of the tourism sector, including marketing and promotion and industry development and engagement.Minimum of three years' experience with staff supervision/management and an understanding of change managementHigh level of interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including written and verbal communication.Proven ability to manage the delivery of guest, customer, and or visitor services.Highly developed and proven computer skills including a sound knowledge of Microsoft software (word and excel) and other programs and website management.Experience with the management of Operational Health and Safety including Job Safety Analysis.
