About the Role
This position will be responsible for supporting people with disabilities to live their chosen lives. You will guide and encourage a team of support workers to ensure customers receive safe, high-quality, and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of support workers to deliver safe, caring, and consistent services.
* Champion customer choice, rights, and wellbeing through a case management approach.
* Foster positive relationships with customers, their families, staff, and external supports.
* Cultivate a team culture that supports staff engagement and development.
* Evaluate and implement strategies to ensure supports are delivered in line with NDIS Practice Standards and Activ's policies.
Requirements:
* A strong background in disability or community services, focusing on person-centred support.
* Confidence in applying policies, procedures, and support plans to meet individual customer needs.
* Certificate IV in Disability Support or willingness to work towards the qualification.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably managing teams, including performance and people management.
* Ability to build strong teams and networks, leverage technology, and hold self and others accountable.
* Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguarding requirements.
