Job Summary
The Care Coordinator for Vulnerable Newborns plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of expectant parents and their unborn children. This position involves working sensitively and respectfully with families to address safety and risk concerns, as well as advocating for and supporting them to engage with services and participate in meetings.
This challenging yet rewarding role requires confidence, curiosity, and resilience. To be successful, you will need to possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, Welfare, or a related discipline, as well as relevant experience working with expectant parents or in child protection assessment and case planning.
Key Responsibilities
* Working collaboratively with NSW Health staff, including Pregnancy Family Conference facilitators and hospital social workers.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, particularly NSW Health staff.
* Participating in individual and group supervision, as well as court processes.

About the Role
