Situated in Central Queensland,Comet State School is a small rural school, well equipped with up-to-date and modern facilities which provides it's students with a positive and supportive environment, entrenched in local history and culture.

The attractive grounds of Comet State School are located in the small township of Comet, approximately halfway between Emerald and Blackwater. The community itself is comprised primarily of cattle and cropping properties with many of our students living on properties in the surrounding region. Other students live in the town Comet itself or surrounding areas such as Blackwater or Yamala.

Lead and inspire a shared educational vision that is future-focused and committed to delivering high-quality learning outcomes for all students.Model ethical, values-based leadership by upholding the moral purpose of principalship and embedding socially just practices in everyday school life.Promote excellence and continuous improvement by setting high expectations for student and staff performance and actively engaging in lifelong professional learning.Build strong, strategic partnerships with parents, government agencies, community organisations, industry, and business to enhance opportunities and outcomes.Ensure effective governance and strategic resource management through a clear understanding of relevant legislation and policies and the purposeful allocation of resources to achieve school goals.
