Clinical Trials Officer Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Trials Research Officer to join our Clinical and Social Research Team at our leading national addiction treatment, training and research centre. The successful candidate will provide key support to clinical research projects undertaken by the CSR team, ensuring seamless execution and implementation of trials.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to our mission of addressing addiction issues across the spectrum of harm. As a Clinical Trials Research Officer, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our clinical research projects, including coordination, data management, and stakeholder engagement.

* Main Responsibilities:
* Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely collection, storage, and analysis of trial data
* Project Coordination: Assist in planning, organizing, and executing clinical trials, including site initiation, subject recruitment, and study close-out
* Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
* Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of trial conduct


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong foundation in clinical research, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. Essential qualifications include:

* Certificate or Diploma level qualifications with several years' experience: Or equivalent work experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of ICH Guideline for Good Clinical Practice, national statement and previous experience working with clinical trials coordination and/or specific clinical expertise in desired area of research: This includes understanding of regulatory requirements, data management principles, and research methodologies
* Clinical and/or qualitative research skills: Including statistical analysis, data interpretation, and research design
