Job Title: Insurance Accountant
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our insurance accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records related to insurance transactions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for insurance transactions, including premiums, claims, and reinsurance.
* Contribute to month-end closing for insurance technical accounting.
* Participate in local gap accounting and group consolidation in IFRS17.
* Support the testing and implementation of a new accounting tool.
* Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
* Assist with internal and external audits.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the insurance industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
