We are currently seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 mining business on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent chance to contribute to the performance and reliability of a large Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet on site, while working a lifestyle-friendly roster.
Monitor and analyse the reliability performance of HME fleets.
Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain equipment health strategies using tools such as RCM, FMEA and condition monitoring.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations and OEMs to drive continuous improvement in equipment performance.
Identify and implement initiatives to improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
Review and optimise preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
Prepare and present reliability reports, KPIs and improvement plans.
Support the use of reliability software systems (e.g. SAP, AMT or similar CMMS tools).
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and legislative standards
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
5+ years' experience in mining or heavy industry, with a focus on HME reliability.
Strong understanding of heavy mobile equipment systems (engines, hydraulics, powertrain, electrical).
Proven experience in root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
Skilled in reliability tools and methodologies (RCM, FMEA, Weibull analysis, condition monitoring).
Proficiency with SAP or similar CMMS systems.
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
CMRP, CRL or equivalent certifications are highly regarded.
