SNSW Grade 7/8 - base salary from $105,986 to $124,957

As an experienced site reliability engineer, you’ll play a key role, helping shape the future of digital government. You’ll work alongside talented engineers, designers, and product managers in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment - where your work matters.
What you’ll do
This is a hands on, high-impact role where you’ll:
* Champion engineering excellence, resilient systems, automated processes and practice uplift across teams.
* Contribute to technical design.
* Develop solutions to complex technical problems across large-scale systems.
* Collaborate in agile ceremonies, retros, and engineering community events.
* Continuously learn through hackathons, knowledge-sharing sessions, and our onboarding academy.
* Share your expertise and collaborate with product teams.

What we’re looking for
We’re after site reliability engineers who:
* Can demonstrate significant experience in site reliability engineering and automation, ensuring high availability.
* Are full stack developers with experience in modern languages like Kotlin, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Angular, Node), Golang.
* Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerised infrastructure.
* Embrace XP practices and are open to learning and contributing to a strong engineering culture.
* Communicate well, enjoy working in and with product teams, and care about the customer experience.
* Bring strong problem-solving ability.

Salary Service NSW Grade 7/8 with the base salary for this role starting at $ base plus superannuation
