As a Spare Parts Advisor at The Big Garage, you will be instrumental in providing expert guidance and support to customers and service technicians regarding spare parts and accessories.
Your role will involve managing parts inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the availability and timely delivery of parts to maintain smooth operations within our service department.Key Responsibilities:Customer Service:Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and sourcing the correct spare parts and accessories.Provide accurate information on parts availability, pricing, and delivery times.Handle customer inquiries, orders, and returns professionally and efficiently.Parts Management:Maintain an organized and accurate inventory of spare parts and accessories.Order and restock parts as needed to ensure inventory levels meet demand.Conduct regular inventory checks and manage the parts storage area to ensure proper organization and accessibility.Order Processing:Process parts orders, including entering order details into the system, verifying part numbers, and coordinating with suppliers.Ensure timely delivery of parts to customers and service technicians, following up on any delays or issues.Technical Support:Utilize parts catalogues, manuals, and online resources to identify and recommend the correct parts for various vehicles.Stay informed about new products, technological advancements, and industry trends.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, including sales, returns, and inventory adjustments.Generate reports on parts usage, sales trends, and inventory levels as required.Work closely with service advisors and technicians to support their parts needs and ensure timely resolution of service requests.Collaborate with the parts team to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.Qualifications:Experience:Previous experience in automotive parts sales or a related field preferred.Familiarity with parts cataloguing systems and automotive repair processes.Skills:Excellent customer service and communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in using parts management software and computer systems.Education:High school diploma or equivalent would be an advantage, but not a requirement; technical or vocational training in automotive parts is a plus.Other Requirements:Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.Ability to lift and handle parts and equipment as needed.Attributes:Customer-Focused:Committed to providing exceptional service and support to customers and colleagues.Detail-Oriented:Precise and accurate in managing parts inventory and processing orders.Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues related to parts and inventory.Team Player:Collaborative and supportive of team members to achieve common goals.The Big Garage is an equal opportunity employer.
