Gas Transmission Apprentice Role
This role presents an opportunity to contribute to the development of our energy infrastructure as a Gas Transmission Apprentice.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain high-pressure natural gas equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
* Maintain rotating machinery and engines, performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs.
* Patrol pipeline right-of-ways, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective measures.
* Respond to emergency situations, such as leak reports, in a strategic and timely manner.
* Conduct repair and maintenance of pipeline coatings, valves, and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
* Coordinate with landholders and public authorities, fostering positive relationships and resolving any issues that may arise.
* Promote a safety culture, recognizing its importance in preventing accidents and injuries.
* Perform various duties, including mechanical activities, weed control, erosion control, documentation, and records maintenance.
Requirements
* A genuine enthusiasm for working outdoors, combined with a demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
* A current driver's license is preferred but not essential, though it will be required from the second year of the apprenticeship.
* A positive attitude, coupled with a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
