Key Role in Perioperative Services
We are seeking a skilled individual to support the perioperative team by assisting in patient transfers, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring that essential items such as blood and pathology specimens are transported as required.
This role will be essential in upholding best practices in infection control, patient dignity, and workplace safety. Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to manual handling protocols when transferring patients.
* Assisting in positioning and prepping patients while ensuring their dignity is maintained.
* Following instructions from perioperative staff during theatre procedures.
* Transporting blood, pathology specimens, and other necessary items using standard precautions.
* Providing general support to nursing staff and all areas within the Perioperative Unit.
* Working in accordance with organisational policies, ACORN guidelines, and infection control standards.
