The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Service Director (Specialist Programs, Alcohol and Other Drugs) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work (or equivalent)
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $156 836 - $162 346 per annum

The SPAOD Service is a tertiary service that operates across multiple locations in the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. It is a public funded mental health service provided by Gold Coast Health. Our service is available to adults experiencing a mental illness and drug and alcohol issues who are 18+ years and their families who live in the Gold Coast region. Our services offer multi-disciplinary teams who are experienced in understanding and working with complex drug and alcohol and mental health issues facing adults and their families.
