About The Role
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Nurse ready to take your career to the next level? We're looking for exceptional Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) Nurse Officers to play a vital role in shaping the future of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
The successful candidate will be primarily based in our Sunshine Coast Clinic, in Queensland, on a Full-Time basis, working 38 hours, Monday to Friday.
Duties
- Conduct telephone vetting and in-person preliminary assessments
- Ensure all preliminary assessment information is entered accurately into the electronic health record
- Review online medical history questionnaire and extract additional information while taking notes in the online medical records system
- Medical file reviews
- Archive record identification and requests
- Extant reports requests as needed
- Monitoring & maintaining equipment used during preliminary assessments
- Follow established policy and procedures within a well-defined Defence framework
Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sharp eye for detail
- Ability to navigate electronic health records/systems and other relevant ICT systems
- Minimum 3 years’ broad medical experience in a health system comparable to Australia
- Experience within a Defence or on-base setting or in the delivery of pre-employment medicals would be highly desirable
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAD009) certification
- Australian Citizen and the ability to maintain an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance
