The Coffs Harbour Bypass is a transformative 14kilometre upgrade stretching from Englands Road in the south to Sapphire in the north — a once in a generation project for the Mid North Coast community.
Ferrovial and Gamuda (FGJV) are the proud design and construct joint venture partners delivering this significant and innovative infrastructure project, which will leave a lasting legacy of sustainability and improved connectivity for the region.
FGJV is currently seeking a driven Quality Engineer to support the project as it moves through the critical finishing and commissioning stages. This role suits someone who thrives on detail, enjoys working across multiple disciplines, and takes pride in delivering high quality outcomes.
About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery, with a strong focus on M&E works, quality assurance, and completions documentation. You will work closely with the Quality, Construction, and M&E teams to ensure all works meet project specifications, standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with compiling accurate Lot records, reviewing for conformance, and achieving lot closeout with the client representative
* Support the development of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and verification checklists to ensure compliant delivery
* Monitor and report on Quality System KPIs, performance measures, and reporting requirements
* Provide quality assurance support to the construction team to assist them implement quality standards in their day-to-day work, including mentoring on QMS requirements as required.
* Monitor, inspect, and audit quality systems to ensure compliance with the QMS and project specifications, including subcontractor and supplier activities
* Participate in quality meetings, construction meetings, and audits to support planning and communicate quality requirements, lessons learned, and key messages
Your Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline
* Proven experience developing and implementing quality management systems on construction projects
* Strong understanding of M&E systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, etc.) is highly desirable
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in multidisciplinary infrastructure with tunnelling exposure is advantageous
* Experience in commissioning, handover, or completions processes is desirable
* Experience working on TfNSW projects will be highly regarded
