**About the Role**
The ultimate objective of this role is to develop, manage and lead the team, enabling Community Development Program (CDP) participants and other community members to pursue and achieve their goals, improve their quality of life and increase the support to access all opportunities available within community.
This role will ensure the CDP Team is at the forefront in delivering services that are culturally appropriate, compliant, current, and relevant - improving operational preparedness and capability.
**This position is based in Nhulunbuy N.T with frequent travel to communities in Arnhem Land.**
**Responsibilities**
- Lead, manage and develop a team of local staff across a number of sites
- Ensure that all program guidelines are met relating to service delivery and to the provision of high level reporting to the National Indigenous Australians Agency as per the CDP funding agreement and to the GM of Community Services.
- Support the ongoing operations of a locally tailored CDP programs based on comprehensive community consultation.
- Manage relevant CDP financials in line with Board approved budgets and raise any issues with the CDP Manager in a timely manner.
- Work with participants, their families and other key community associations to develop strategies to address identified support needs and respond to queries/ concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure all activities and program elements take into account individual participants choices and interests, as well as the broader identified priorities of the community.
- Be a positive contributor to the ALPA CDP Leadership Team and build positive relationships across all areas of the ALPA group

**Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role coupled with a relevant qualification in community development, human services or, similar.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience including the ability to coach, mentor and guide your Team Members to achieve organisational goal, in at times, very complex and challenging scenarios.
- High level communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills together coupled with experience in the provision of advice and recommendations at a senior management level.
- Dedication to ensuring the WHS framework remains robust in dynamic workplaces and ensures all Team Members are championing WHS procedures within CDP operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, development, management and oversight of relevant risk mitigation strategies as they relate to the provision of CDP service delivery.
- Ensuring ethical integrity in all aspects of the delivery of the CDP contract.
