We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to support the implementation of key finance transformation initiatives. This role will be pivotal in modernising financial processes, systems and reporting frameworks to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and practices, while maintaining financial integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- As an Accountant you will report to the leadership and be responsible for supporting the following:
- Implementation Support
- Assist in the setting up and rollout of finance transformation projects, including Xero, automation tools and reporting frameworks (internal and external support provided);
- Translate strategic transformational goals into actionable implementation steps; and
- Support testing, training and documentation of current systems and processes.
- Process & Systems Integration
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing workflows; and
- Identify and resolve issues during implementation phases, escalating as needed.
- Change Management
- Provide hands-on support and training to finance team members during transitions.
- Gather feedback and contribute to continuous improvement efforts post-implementation.
- Financial Operations and Reporting
- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day finance oversight after the implementation;
- Ensure continuity and accuracy of all financial reporting during and after transformation activities; and
- Monitor compliance and internal controls throughout the implementation process and after.
- - Prepare and analyse monthly management reports and financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Assist with the external audit process.
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Support strategic planning and business case development.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
How you will be assessed
The successful applicant will have the following mix of technical and personal skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- CPA or CA qualification is mandatory for this position.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with exposure to systems implementation or transformation projects.
- Familiarity with Xero and connected add-on applications and financial reporting tools.
- Intermediate level Xero experience with ability to configure and manage system functions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in change management or project coordination is highly desirable.
