About the Role
The Innovative Planet Research Institute (IPRI) is seeking a driven and forward-thinking Research Fellow to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT), quantum sensors, and estimation theory. This is a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic, multi-university team focused on fusing classical and quantum sensor technologies to solve real-world challenges.

As a key contributor, you’ll lead high-impact research, develop and implement novel algorithms, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver meaningful outcomes. You’ll also play a role in mentoring emerging researchers, securing competitive funding, and engaging with industry to translate innovation into practice.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
· Demonstration of relevant experience in the field of PNT/Sensor technologies.
· Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and proactively as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-institution research team, as well as proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
· Ability to contribute to research projects including identifying and tracking milestones, reporting on progress and identifying barriers to completion.
· Demonstrated written and oral communication skills for scholarly publications, technical reports and project documentation including with industry/non-research-based partners.
· Experience in writing high-quality publications in international journals and Grant applications.

Qualifications
· PhD in a relevant field Mathematics, Signal Processing, Sensor Fusion, PNT or a related field or a combination of a PhD with extensive experience in one of these fields
