This well-known, reputable Government organisation is currently seeking an experience Integrated Water Management Lead to coordinate the implementation of the adopted Integrated Water Management Plan and support the Infrastructure Unit's mandate to lead the Council towards becoming a water wise city through reducing overall water consumption and supporting a cooler, greener and healthier urban environment to better adapt to the changing climate.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Coordinator Drainage & Stormwater, your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
- Lead implementation of Council's Integrated Water Management Plan priorities - including stormwater harvesting, water sensitive urban design and building water efficiency programs.
- Research and analyse environmental trends and their implications for environmental, social and economic development of the municipality.
- Monitor, identify and report on opportunities for external funding, and prepare (or assist in the preparation of) submissions to secure external funding for projects.
- Provide sustainability related technical advice and support to internal stakeholders for the delivery of Council projects.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in the role, you will have a tertiary qualification in the following areas: engineering, environment, sustainability as well as relevant and extensive experience in developing and project managing integrated water cycle management in particular stormwater management and water sensitive urban design. You will also have demonstrated experience in managing and implementing IWM projects, strategies, policies, reports, briefings etc. Only Permanent Residents or Australian Citizens must apply.
