Business Development Manager – Cybersecurity Services

Our client, a rapidly growing cybersecurity services provider operating across the Asia-Pacific region, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth through strategic client acquisition, partnership development, and solution‑led sales.

This role will suit a consultative sales professional who understands cybersecurity services and technology integration – someone capable of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, identifying opportunities, and positioning tailored solutions that strengthen clients’ security posture.

They deliver end‑to‑end security solutions including Managed SOC, Red Teaming, Threat Detection and Response, and Cybersecurity Governance.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a regional business development strategy focused on enterprise and mid‑market clients across APAC.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across managed security services, vulnerability management, incident response, and cybersecurity consulting.
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with customers, partners, and key technology vendors.
- Collaborate with technical pre‑sales and delivery teams to design customer‑centric cybersecurity solutions aligned with business needs.
- Lead proposal development, tender responses, and commercial negotiations.
- Maintain a robust pipeline and accurate sales forecasting through regular reporting.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and partner engagements.
- Stay current with evolving cybersecurity trends, frameworks, and technologies to maintain credibility and market insight.

Core Solution Areas

- Managed SOC Services – including infrastructure monitoring, application performance, SIEM, and cloud security posture management.
- Threat Detection & Response – managed endpoint detection, containment, and response services.
- Red Teaming & Penetration Testing – proactive assessment of vulnerabilities and attack simulation.
- Cybersecurity Governance & Compliance – frameworks aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, and Essential Eight.
- Risk Management & Security Assessments – third‑party risk and compliance readiness reviews.

Ideal Background

- 5–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, managed services, or IT solutions sales, ideally within a regional or enterprise context.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets through consultative, solutions‑based selling.
- Strong understanding of managed security operations, EDR, SIEM, cloud security, or threat detection platforms.
- Experience managing relationships with major technology vendors or alliances (experience with cloud monitoring or observability tools is highly regarded).
- Excellent stakeholder management, commercial negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal ability with a collaborative, outcomes‑focused mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related discipline; relevant cybersecurity or sales certifications are advantageous.
