The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a State Lead - Civil & Infrastructure Project Management to join our dynamic team in Western Australia. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our recent growth, providing world-class project management expertise to lead and facilitate Masterplanned Community project delivery.

With our recent acquisitions and an expanding portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in managing the state portfolio from both strategic and project performance perspectives. This position offers a strong platform for career growth, allowing you to develop your skills and advance within our organization as we continue to expand our Civil & Infrastructure projects.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Provide leadership and specialist project management expertise from project inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are scoped, designed, built and delivered on time, budget and to required quality specification.
- Preparation of delivery strategies for major staged subdivision and other developments.
- Facilitate, manage and drive efficiency through project cost plans in partnership with Development Managers, authorities, consultant and contractors to realise cost savings.
- Achieve project construction milestones across multiple construction fronts in the State's project portfolio.
- Demonstrate innovation to create time, financial and R&O benefit for the State.
- Manage and contribute to relationships with key stakeholder groups in collaboration with the Development Manager including the contractors, consultants, approval authorities – refer RACI model.
- Establish partnering relationships with relevant external contractors, consultants and suppliers to facilitate cost, value and/or program efficiencies to Stockland.
- Ensure the delivery of project management expertise is in a manner that creates a sustainable product and incorporates CR&S and HS&E principles.
- Contribute to business wide project management forums, initiatives and programs to facilitate and lead a culture of best practice in Project Management systems and processes.
- Ensure all Operational Risk processes are properly implemented within the area of responsibility.
- Monitor project and team performance and ensure appropriate action is taken to address incidents and issues.
- Ensure understanding of and performance consistent with applicable internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements as well as the internal escalation procedures.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a proven understanding of project management best practices, tools, and techniques, along with a solid grasp of legal requirements and obligations in contract administration. They will possess strong networks of consultant, authority, and contractor stakeholders, and demonstrate exceptional relationship management, communication, and influencing skills. Additionally you will have:

- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar, and/or;
- Extensive experience managing and leading teams (internal and external/direct and indirect), design, procurement and construction teams to proven successful outcomes in the delivery of civil infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to succeed in navigating and planning complex large project delivery
- Demonstrated commercial/financial acumen
- Operate as part of a broader C&I Leadership team with a National business focus, and drive improvement opportunities and initiatives.
