Job Description
Process daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Manage accounts payable and receivable; follow up on overdue invoices and ensure suppliers are paid on time. Complete regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
Prepare and process payroll, superannuation, and employee entitlements. Maintain accurate records in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks). Prepare BAS, IAS, and other compliance documents for review and submission.
Assist with cash flow monitoring and provide straightforward financial reports to the business owner. Support budgeting and expense control. Maintain organised financial filing systems (digital and paper-based).
Provide general administrative support, including liaising with suppliers, clients, and accountants. With at least 3 years of experience Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting (desirable but not essential if experienced).
Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role within a small business. Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks preferred). Full-time/permanent
