Job Summary:
A lead field engineer is responsible for coordinating with engineering on constructability and design issues, establishing a civil design/field engineering working relationship, and directing the preparation of requisitions for field-procured materials.
The major responsibilities include quantity take-off, control, tracking, reporting, and forecasting for civil discipline, specifying civil criteria for construction of temporary construction facilities, and approving field requisitions as delegated by the Project Field Engineer. Additionally, the engineer will review material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct civil materials, coordinate and monitor interfaces for civil data exchange, and develop and manage the civil construction quality program.
This position requires coordination with customer's resident engineering and operating personnel to oversee civil construction activities, coordinate subcontract activities to ensure civil materials, equipment, and quality comply with design plans and specifications, and implement controls over variables affecting civil job progress.
