Ink on Paper (IOP) is a national print and signage provider delivering large-scale branding, print and signage projects for major retail and commercial clients across Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Press Operator to join our production team, responsible for preparing artwork and running production-ready files across our large format print and vinyl equipment.
The Role
You will manage and prepare artwork to ensure it is accurate, print-ready, and production-efficient, while operating key large format print and cutting equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare client artwork for large format print production
* Check and adjust files for scale, bleed, resolution, and colour accuracy
* Manage layouts and nesting for efficient print runs
* Communicate with production and design teams to resolve artwork issues
* Operate and manage jobs on HP 360 and Mimaki JFX100 large format printers
* Operate Mutoh and Summa vinyl cutters
* Quality check files and finished output prior to production
* Maintain organised file structures and job records
Skills & Experience
* Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
* Experience in pre-press for large format print or signage
* Understanding of colour management, bleed, scaling, and print specifications
* Experience preparing files for vinyl, signage, and large format graphics
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Experience with RIP software (Onyx or similar)
* Knowledge of large format production workflows
* Basic understanding of signage fabrication or installation requirements
