The Role
In this role you will provide General Practice services to the community and be involved in the supervision and training of GP Registrars, medical students and other doctors in training. This role offers an exciting opportunity to step into an established General Practitioner position with an existing patient base, ensuring a smooth transition and immediate engagement with patients.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with groups across Macquarie University Health to participate in primary care research projects and contribute to educational activities depending on interest and experience. The role may also involve representing Macquarie University Health and engaging with primary care organisations such as Local Health Districts, Sydney North Health Network and other Primary Health Networks, GP Synergy, and RACGP.

Key Accountabilities (not limited to)
* Provide high quality clinical care to patients of the Macquarie University Health General Practice clinic.
* Liaise and work effectively with health professionals involved in patient care, including the broader care team.
* Create and maintain accurate documentation and complete electronic medical records to reflect clinical decisions, tests, diagnoses and instructions.
* Supervise and mentor students, GP registrars and other doctors in training to the standards required by Macquarie University, the RACGP or other relevant training authority.
* Where appropriate, present at and represent Macquarie University Health at relevant internal and external conferences, grand rounds and similar sessions in support of advancing the academic mission of the organisation.
* Participate in appropriate quality assurance and risk management projects.
* Participate in clinical quality activities including peer review, clinical practice audit etc.
* Participate in annual performance development meetings with the Clinic Director and Practice Manager.
To Apply
To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1‑page cover letter.
* Current Specialist General Practitioner in Australia with a fellowship with the RACGP or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience as a General Practitioner.
* Demonstrated interest and aptitude for one or more of the following: supervision of students, delivery of educational activities and/or primary care research.
* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders, including patients and other health professionals.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Knowledge of and commitment to continuous improvement, evidence‑based practice and promoting a culture of safety, quality, innovation and best practice in clinical practice, teaching and research.

* AHPRA Registration.
