The ideal candidate will possess the following essential skills and attribute, critical for success in this position
· Experience as a team leader in a production environment
· Extensive experience in metal fabrication
· Strong HR ability with key focus on safety, quality and efficiency
· Hands on leadership style with “can do” attitude
· Organised and thorough in all aspects of work
· Willing to support and achieve goals and targets. Commitment to the production plan.
· High level of attention to detail and desire to produce quality work
· Reliable and self-motivated
· Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization
· Good computer skills.

· Able to manage multiple conflicting priorities
· Good organisational skills
· Drivers licence
· Own transport
· Be highly customer focussed
· Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously to achieve set tasks in a timely and efficient manner
· Be able to work within a team environment as the organisational needs dictate
· Fulfil the daily operation of the fabrication team function including all facets such as -
· Daily/ weekly check lists
· Dealing with daily issues/ requests
· Work to a priority work list
· Process improvements
· Back flushing
· Apprentice training/ coaching and mentoring
· Strong focus on the principles of 6’S
· Quality check lists
· Experience with a computer-based inventory management system ideally Syspro is also highly desirable.
The successful applicant will ideally have good written, verbal communication and numerical skills. A good stable work history and a positive “can do” attitude.
