Senior Accounts Payable Officer

About the Role:
FourQuarters are looking for a skilled Senior Accounts Payable Officer to take ownership of end-to-end accounts payable activities and support the smooth flow of financial operations for a growing client of ours. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, confident managing complex workloads, and comfortable guiding others in best-practice processes.
As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for accurate invoice processing, managing payment cycles, reconciling supplier accounts, and responding to internal and external queries. You'll play an important role in maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring timely reporting, and contributing to continuous improvements across the function.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Overseeing invoice verification, coding and data entry.
* Coordinating scheduled payment runs and maintaining accurate records.
* Performing regular supplier statement reconciliations.
* Supporting month-end tasks such as accruals and ledger postings.
* Building effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Ensuring compliance with financial policies and assisting with audit requirements.
* Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency.
About You:
* Strong experience in accounts payable, ideally with exposure to end-to-end processing.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in financial work
* Comfortable working independently and contributing effectively to a team.
* Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Excel (NetSuite experience desirable).
* Experience guiding colleagues or supporting aspects of the AP function is beneficial.
* Must have full working rights in Australia .
