Primary objective
Provide sound professional advice critical in dealing with significant issues related to assessment, planning, review, evaluation, and
coordination of education programs in defined practice area.
Context statement
Implement contemporary and effective regional engagement / readiness plan to support the engagement of NT Health staff and uptake
of new core clinical systems; develop and manage ongoing regional engagement activities including progress of the Core Clinical Systems
Renewal Program with Central Australia and Barkly stakeholders.
Digital Project Services (DPS) delivers very complex, high value, and high-risk ICT programs and multi-year digital transformation initiatives
for core frontline services through an inter-agency collaborative approach. Working closely with the client Agencies, the team comprises
of public sector employees and contractors working together to deliver multiple streams of activity as programs are implemented. The
work environment is dynamic, fast paced and results driven with high expectations of superior service delivery. The CCSRP is a major
technology program that will transform the delivery of health care services for Territorian's by delivering a Territory-wide single, integrated
health electronic record system.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Collaborate in the development and implementation of education programs to support professional development needs of healthcare
workers and address inconsistencies between practice and policy within the defined practice area.
2. Support delivery of excellence in nursing/midwifery care by modelling advanced knowledge, skills, and behaviours for the provision of
client care and working alongside less experienced staff to develop appropriate skills, knowledge, abilities, and attitudes.
3. Demonstrate NTH values - safe; responsive; kind – in all decision-making and interactions with consumers and colleagues.
4. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in
order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same.
2. Demonstrated education/training or experience in the development and/or delivery of education theory and practice.
3. Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in an area of nursing/midwifery relating to this vacancy, and application of adult learning
principles using a range of modes/methods to enable delivery of high quality clinical and education practice.
4. Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate education programs to better meet organisational needs and/or
address new and emerging developments.
5. Demonstrated use of effective communication skills to maximise productive working relationships with internal and external
stakeholders and facilitate a positive learning environment.
1. Demonstrates and applies well-developed knowledge and understanding of the social and cultural issues, influences and sensitivities
that influence healthcare and delivery of education programs.
Desirable
1. Graduate Diploma, or equivalent, beyond entry to practice relevant to specialty area.
