Job Opportunity: HR Support Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with our team as an HR Support Specialist. As an HR Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting fair and transparent recruitment practices across the department.
You will be responsible for managing and resolving complex queries and escalations received via phone or email to the Recruitment Services unit. You will also process exemption/limited advertising requests and make recommendations to the Manager and Director informed by relevant legislation.
In addition, you will oversee the processing of Criminal History Checks and manage sensitive enquiries and disclosable outcomes. You will support team workload coordination and collaborate with the Team Leader to identify priorities.
You will assess and process transfers at level, relinquishments and unattached officer requests, providing accurate and timely recruitment information for legal, integrity, and audit requests.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of recruitment and selection principles, relevant directives and recruitment processes. You will also have proven ability to interpret and apply recruitment policy, legislation and frameworks in a practical context.
You will possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to provide clear, confident advice. The ability to work flexibly, adapt to competing priorities and maintain attention to detail in a high-volume environment is also essential.
