Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Specialist with a strong background in Telecommunications Copper network technology. The ideal candidate should have extensive field experience in Copper Networks, along with proficient Network Design skills in both Copper and Fibre technologies. With a minimum of 10 years of industry experience, specifically working for Australian Telcos, the Senior Technical Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise in Copper network technologies.
Resolve under-performing lines (UPLs), assessing and providing cost-effective solutions and project briefings to regional field and construction teams.
Past copper field FIR, design, construction, and operations experience; troubleshooting copper services to ensure optimal service performance.
Collaborate with field teams to address and resolve network issues promptly.
Develop and implement project briefs and network designs for both Copper and Fibre networks, optimizing network reliability for under-performing lines with key cost awareness.
Leverage 10+ years of industry experience, focusing on Australian Telcos; contribute insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in Copper Access network design, implementation, and maintenance.
Strong proficiency in Access Design for both Copper and Fibre networks.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Copper and the latest advancements in Fibre optic technologies.
Ability to lead and coordinate technical projects.
Certification in relevant technologies and platforms.
Strong customer focus.
